Received this message with a purchase today. Does Anyone know what this pick five is , she or he is referring to?
Note To Seller.
Your coupon "PICKFIVE" did not work. It was a consideration of my buying your item. Feedback will reflect this !

Ebay CS said I would be able to have it removed since it had nothing to do with me. Will see.

One thing I did notice on the offer was that it's only for those who haven't bought in 12 months so I didn't even try it. Also the terms said they have the right to invalidate if the user wasn't eligible, not sure if they do that after the fact.
So pickfive is the code for the coupon they gave to users who haven’t bought in a year?
thats what I figured. They really should haven’t advertised it to anyone not eligible. Regardless of their disclaimer.

Actually I believe pickfive can only be used with sellers who are using the new payments system. So maybe that’s why so many are having issues with it?

I only use PP. I have not opted in to the new managed payments.

That would explain why your buyer couldn’t use it 🙂

Your right Jen seems it is good for items from sellers in managed payments only
and how are buyers to find the few that are in the managed payments?
Terms & conditions don't even show it .

Omg that doesn’t surprise me! It says cant be used with PayPal credit but nothing about PayPal. SMH.

It looks like a failed attempt to get some business back for sellers in the new payments system. Without a way to find eligible items. More like you automatically get the discount if you happen to be buying an "eligible item". Also, from these terms, it looks like it goes until friday night.
How to redeem your Coupon:

I saw the coupon on several listings yesterday: Under the price on the listing page, it said "Coupon" and stated save $5 if you pay with a credit card

LOL... I thought it was a new McDonald's promotion... 😉

eBay Pays Shoppers to Kick the PayPal Habit
To overcome shoppers' resistance to using credit or debit cards instead of PayPal on managed payments listings, eBay is giving buyers a $5 "PICKFIVE" coupon.eBay began rolling out managed payments last week, and it excludes PayPal as a payment method until next summer. The only way many shoppers would know about the coupon is during checkout - just at the point when it would become clear to them that they wouldn't be able to use PayPal to pay for their purchase. There's no message about the discount in sellers' listings - not even in buyers' shopping carts - that would incentivize shoppers to purchase the item. The message only appears on the checkout page of managed payments listings - after buyers are showing a commitment to buy. There it states: "A $5 coupon just for you! Must pay for this item with your credit or debit card and use code PICKFIVE to redeem."
I'm not sure that this is wholly accurate, because the listing page would not show Paypal as an option. Of course the buyer may not notice that so then they would think it only shows on the check out page, but as far as I know, you can see that there would no indication Paypal was accepted on the listing page.
As a side note, I remember when Ebay offered $10.00 to buyers if they would open a Paypal account.
