What does PACKAGE RESEARCH CASE CLOSED mean?

I didn't know if there was any feedback from the buyer.
And as a result of just finding out and checking, there was a phrase'PACKAGE RESEARCH CASE CLOSED'. According to that tracking information, did my sales item arrive at the buyer?

Seems to be it is just as it says.

It says delivered.

The carrier closed the search case.

No longer a need to search for an item that has been delivered.

Yes it appears that it did. Someone filed 2 Help Requests on the USPS website to see if they could find the package and get it moving. If it wasn't you, then it was the buyer.  Who knows if they actually helped finding and moving the package along, but it looks like your in good shape.

Usually when that happens it means the buyer didn't  get the item and requested help from the USPS in locating it. Since the last update says it was delivered than you're in the clear.

I've had a couple of these since the USPS issues with COVID started but all of mine have been after it says the item was delivered but the buyer claims they didn't receive it.

No report as to where the package is,,,, no nothing,,,,, since obviously no investigation was actually conducted. They just sloughed it off.

Tracking shows it's been sitting 20 miles from my house for 2 weeks. 

I think they lost it.(Or a post office employee stole it.) (Mill Spec Lap top)

- We are the post office. We don't care because we don't have to.

I'm going through the same issues. With all the technology in the world you would think once a driver scans a package we would be aware of its whereabouts at all times. You're killing me smalls.....

I am having this problem - AGAIN.  I put my package in the mailbox and the letter carrier did not scan it.  I mailed another item from DePop and it make it to its location no problem.  The former was not scanned (EBAY) and yet the Latter (DePOP) was scanned.  What is going on with the postal service???
