Here is a picture of a visor clip (circle) and a candle holder (hearts on it)
I sold the candle holder and the buyer said I sent her silver. I thought I had lost my mind because I took a picture and it was gold. It just came back. What color do you see the candle holder is? My husband says gold. I sold it as gold.

Did you know that Samsung smartphones have as part of their photo editing group a way to remove shadows or reflections, but it only works for shadows and reflections in front of the object. Now, if they could only get rid of shadows behind the object . . .
Yes, your candle holder is shiny brass or gold, and I can also see some writing on the inside of the rim, but I can't make it out. The round disk looks like pale gold with an aurora borealis crystal flower and pearl center. They are both beautiful, and I think your buyer is a fool to not fall in love with it.

On my monitor the circular portion that has the flower motif looks silver in color. The rest looks 'gold colored' or perhaps shiny brass. My question, just out of curiosity, is where you put the "candle"?

The candle holder is upside down. The big thing. I say it was gold. However it isn’t silver like the buyer said. I agree brass colored. Need to relist it, and refund the buyer.

The round visor clip looks silver-colored. The candle holder with hearts looks gold-colored.

You passed the test. I sold it as gold colored, and the reason for return is not as described.

It doesn't matter anymore what the buyer "said". The deciding factor is the NAD they chose from the dropdown menu. Once the selection is made the auto procedure goes forward. As someone once said so long as a buyer chooses any 'not as described reason' they can put in the comments that they needed the money to buy crack, and the seller will still have to front the return or let the buyer have the item for free.

What a beautiful item! If I could be suggestive, you might want to think about shooting in natural light. It's the summer time so that would be helpful. Another thing, when you take pictures I wear an either white or gray clothing item. These days mostly a t-shirt since I work from home. Sometimes colors may reflect from what every you are photographing, especially metals. This is just my experience and advice. Again, very nice.
Happy Selling!!

That is natural light, and funny you would say I have on a white shirt. I don’t want a problem with this person, however when I relist it I will take a picture with the clip on it. I may even send the buyer a copy of this picture.

I would not recommend photographing it with something that is not included in the sale, especially when it's something as decorative as that round clip.
Shoot it on a medium gray background to avoid skewing the camera's automatic white balancing, and you should get an accurate rendition of its gold or brass tone.

So do your think it is gold/brass or silver.

The candle holder is gold on my monitor.

and for the 1st time ever going to the eBay community on my cell phone it is also gold on that device.

Well I issued a full refund, but did note on the refund that her “not as described” reason I felt was incorrect
