Western Fixed Blade Info

Hello. Im looking for some info on this western blade. I have never seen a stamp like this just wondering if legit. Looks old.

Just the use of Western only as the stamp; is a problem on that blade.

With only the pic of one side of the blade (and a close up of the tang), I don't think OP is going to be able to get much information about the blade without doing the google legwork himself.

It is the only stamp on the knife.  It is 14.5". I had someone message me on my listing and told me they thought it was a v44 ww2 knife. Looks exactly the same.
