Sales are up a bit but page views are significantly down. Those 2 numbers just seem to be at odds with each other. It would be one thing if the sales conversion rate also took a big jump suggesting that the tire kickers went away leaving only buyers. But that number is only marginally improved. OK then - a few expensive items? Nope, a quick check shows a normal price mix - nothing out of the ordinary.
Don't get me wrong - I'm grateful for the uptick. I just don't understand it (as I run laughing to the bank).

Since forever, whenever my page views and impressions are down, I sell more. It happens all the time and has for years, even when I was regularly listing. I have no idea why. I don't even bother looking at that stuff anymore.
And get this - I tried promoted listings for almost two months. During that time my sales completely stopped. I didn't sell a single thing, not one single thing. As soon as I turned off the promoted listings, I started selling again - not much, but then again considering my accounts are pretty much tired and stale I'm happy that anything sells at all. Guess who doesn't use promoted listings lol
(Why are my accounts tired and stale you may ask? Because I haven't really listed anything on them in over a year now, I'm just ending and doing sell similar. Depending on my mood my excuse is I'm too busy, too tired, or too lazy to list anything new lol)

Actually I wouldn't ask that at all. In January of 2021, based on my view of the horizon, I predicted (to myself) that we were in for a long round of hefty inflation. So In the spring shows of that year I bought what would amount to 2-3 years worth of inventory. It is what accountants call the "time value of money". As a result, other than an occasional fill in here and there, I haven't bought any inventory in 3 years and, in turn, I haven't listed anything new in 3 years. BUT based on my cost from 3 years ago, compared to what it would cost today,. I'm way ahead of the game price wise.

I haven't bought any new inventory in three years, either. I also haven't listed any of it yet lol One day I will, that's why I keep paying for a store every month even though right now I don't really need it. When I finally get the urge to list it all I'll be able to.
