Hi sellers!
We're new to selling on Ebay (started 07/2022) and have noticed that we have better weekday sales than weekend sales. Everything I've seen/read have said that it's usually the weekend that you will get the most sales, but I have consistently had my worst day be Friday, followed by Saturday, then it kicks up again (most times at least) on Sundays.
So, my questions for you experienced sellers out there are:
1. When are your normal busy days? Wednesdays are ours.
2. Any tips/tricks for driving traffic/sales that work for you? (We have a promotion, coupon, and promoted listing ad rate 2% across all listings, but hasn't sparked weekend sales).
Thanks!

Mondays have always been our best days - peeps are back at work, in front of a computer/laptop and orders come in. By far - it is has always been Mondays.
Weekend sales have waned for us for a long time - sometimes Sunday nights, but with everyone still out enjoying their weekends, not so much. This was especially true with everyone cooped up for so long due to covid, etc.
No ideas for sales every day of the week or to spark on the weekends. Keep listing - seems to drive the most sales for us - new, fresh listings each day. Good luck!

I'm on the West Coast (Vancouver Island) . Time zones may make a difference.
I get almost no sales on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Monday is consistently the heaviest day for shipping, but since there is no Canada Post service on Saturdays, that is made up of sales after 3pm (PT- 6pm ET) on Friday, plus Saturday, Sunday, and early (before noon PT) Monday sales.

I've noticed recently that my slowest days are usually days that end with a "y"

i was advised by ebay many years ago to have my listings end on a sunday
most people are free and sundays and will be browsing
works for me though i dont always stick to it
it really depends on your items and really my advise applies to auctions

Sundays are always my best day. I always plan to spend my Sunday evenings packing up items to ship them the following day. I do sell more on the weekends, which I am including as Friday too. Weekdays M-Th are slower for me....

For me it's a crap shoot. After 20+ years no particular day stands out as the best sales day of the week.

It should be added that 85% of transactions are Fixed Price and can end any day that the customer buys, but if the listing is unsold, it will automatically relist after 30 days.
Only the less than 15% of listings that are Auctions will end on a given day and more of those will go Unpaid than if they had been Fixed Price listings.

Doesn't matter. Last weekend I sold out 12% of my stock. This weekend is slow. Depends on what I have in stock and who happens by.

I use the auction format almost exclusively and all my auctions start on Sunday and end the following Sunday somewhere between 9-12 PM PDT. For the items I list on local sites and forums, which is almost all local pickup/delivery, it's all over the place similar to BIN. The stuff I run through consignment auction houses most of those close mid week with pickup on the following weekend.
I have never gotten pulled into the PL trap although whether you use that or not depends a lot on what you are selling.

STUPID, you must really have nothing to do but waste peoples time with your nonsense. You ought to look into charity work so your time is better spent.

Retail sales vary continually. Just be ready to ship when you gets the calls.

Depending on the number of weeks in your sample, the best days for fixed price listings varies.
In my case, independent of the sample size, Tuesdays suck.
As for auctions, the traditional best time to end is Sunday, but that is irrelevant now that auctions are a small part of the listings and many, many auctions get only one bid, and others do not sell in one seven day period.
So whatever the percentage of listings which are auctions is still greater than it should be.

One thing you will learn is that EVERY STORE IS DIFFERENT.
There are SO many variables that it is almost impossible to answer a question like that.
For example: Most here look forward to Christmas season. They get a majority of their business during the last quarter of the year. Mine is exactly the opposite. I sell used auto parts, specifically the emblems that go on the outside and also smart key fobs. They are used for repairs mostly, replace lost parts, to a much smaller extent ... refurbishing a vintage. And those things don't happen all that much during Christmas. My store is DEAD those months. A good time to source and list.
Another common customer demographic is the body shops. I get a steady business from them, but that's a small % of my sales.
But, that being said ... I don't notice any difference. My sales are pretty steady through the week.
