If you're selling an item and you have a website (but don't sell the item on your website, your website directs you back to eBay to purchase the item), and you want to put the link to your website in your description for potential buyers to read all about your item in detail (rather than provide a lengthy description, by lengthy I mean several pages). Is that permitted?
And if that is permitted, who is policing whether or not the web link is for information purposes only, or if a seller is trying to take a sale off site?

Doesn't matter - they're all disallowed. And if you try to list with one, the listing won't go through. Try giving the URL directions instead - that's what I have to do.

Thanks for your help everyone.
We wanted to do an HTML page with lots of information on the gadget my partner is inventing, but I think we'll advertise it elsewhere and have all attempts to sell direct people to the eBay store.
I'm not expecting it to be likely that anyone will find something (that actually doesn't exist yet) with search.
