We’re increasing the character limit for feedback..... Up to 500 characters? Why?

I just saw this announcement.   So now buyers can rant on sellers instead of provide short concise feedback...great! 😧

Honestly, this is yet another bad change.  Every negative or neutral I have ever received has to do with a hat or clothing item not fitting the buyer, or slow shipping by USPS.  Obviously both are out of a sellers control and the feedback isn't that fair, yet eBay allows it to stay.  So now in 2021 when so many love to go off on others eBay has provided the perfect opportunity.  Wow... yet another great option to the NEW eBay

I would rather they had increased the main title bar length instead. All this means is the bad scammers will be able to rant and write a bad novel on a seller when they neg. Poor move.

Lower charters required writers to be concise with their messages, now unhappy buyers can ramble on with impunity.  I think an increase to 160 would have been more than enough.

Agree.  500 is way too much.  160-200 would have been more than adequate.  As a buyer, I found 80 limiting on the rare cases I had to leave negative.

Really?  I can leave almost anyting at twenty five  charecters or less.
