I recently sold a relatively expensive item and have shipped it today (8th June) but it says the payment is estimated to be available to me on the 7th of July. Won’t I receive the payment when the item is delivered?

Expensive item equals 21 day hold by Ebay. You are new to Ebay so the trust has not established. You get zero trust as a seller. Now when the buyer receives the item and gives you a nice feedback this alone will not establish trust by Ebay.
