Keep getting this error message when I’m trying to reply to a buyer’s message:

@warr_chil This is an issue that has been popping up - I had the same problem yesterday. Try answering the message not from the item or the notification that you have a message, but from 'messages' itself. That is what I've had to do.

Can you see the buyer's Message in Messages, but you can't reply from there?
Are you getting an email with the Buyer's Message and can't reply from there?
Are you able to access the Buyer's account through Advanced Search? (scroll to the bottom of the page)

The other day I got this message (in the black box of doom) when trying to reply to a buyer's message:
Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://www.ebay.com/cnt/ReplyToMessages?" on this server.
I don't recall how I got to the message, but it could have been through the notification. Everything I had typed disappeared, and it was a fairly long reply. I retyped it in another program, copied it, refreshed the messages page, and was able to successfully send it. But I really hated having to re-create that message.

Thanks. I’ve had ebay dump messages as well as listings I’m in the process of creating. Frustrating.

I tried responding from the message in my inbox as well as from the item. Neither worked. Just gave up finally

You may be able to compose a new message by first going to the user's feedback or profile page, and using the Contact link there.
If including the item number produces that error, try instead choosing "not about an item".

Sorry to hear you are were running into this @warr_chil. Sometimes when this happens uninstalling and reinstalling the app can help, or trying it on a desktop as well. If it happens again please report it to CS, I'm happy to hear it's working now!
