Why would I care if eBay removed bot Views from my numbers? Bots don't buy.
To my mind, a View shows that someone looked at my listing but did not buy.

Not me. I only want to see legitimate views from those possibly interested, not bot views. This is the reality and it's deafening to many....

eBay didn't take off the views. Previously eBay displayed the lifetime view count from humans and robots.
Now, eBay initially displays a 30-day rolling view count of your item by humans. If you click on the view count you can see a rolling view count for the past 7 days, 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 6 months, 1 year or 2 years.
It would be convenient if eBay would allow you to choose one of the other view count time totals as the default instead of always using the 30-day rolling view count.

I did not know that, thank you.
I do think that seeing hundreds of Views over two years with no buyers would be depressing, but I suppose others feel differently.
I keep an inventory slip* with all of my items, and it is not unusual to see that a Sold item has been in stock for over five years.
I sell collectibles rather than mass market goods, which undoubtedly makes a difference in speed of turnover.
*Doesn't that sound fancy for a scrap of paper in the packaging with the title, date of purchase/upload, source and cost scribbled on it?

What good does it do a seller to know what his view count adds up to?
It's not like there is something you or I can do to exploit, manipulate, or control
the info once you or I have it.
