Views Shortly After Listing

When I list items and then go to My eBay > Selling > Active and I'll find that within a few minutes of my listings becoming active I already have 3 or more Views.

Suddenly it occurred to me that they may be the result of automatic searches.

Is that correct?

Just curious.

@daveroo

yep it's bots, they look at your listing, common for 3 or 4 bots to look at new listings.

Views Shortly After Listing

As said, we all attribute some views to ebay bots to check listings.........but they can also be auto searches by buyers.....  Many of us have sold things within seconds of listing.

Views Shortly After Listing

I noticed something earlier this week. Monday I made five separate post card listings. Tuesday I looked to see if I had any non-bot views and I noticed one card had zero views, the rest had one view, presumably the initial bot view.  I immediately reviewed the zero listing to see why it wouldn't have "indexed". It was a post card listed in the post card category, but I had neglected to out the words "post card" in the listing. Apparently the bot didn't know what to do with Mississippi River St. Louis MO Paddle Boat Warf Scene without the words post card, even though it was in the US Cities post card category.
