As a courtesy I accepted a return request on an item 3 weeks after the sale. The buyer actually stated, "Changed my mind". I am basically thinking, I could use the camera lens myself, or sell it for a better price locally. Also, the buyer had a 100% positive rating.
Upon reading the details of the return I find that the buyer has another 2 weeks to return the item. And, since I have already been paid for the item, eBay is holding any current payments to me until the situation is resolved. This is another curiosity, considering eBay has my credit card information on file.

I do agree, buyer should only have 30 days from the time the item was received, not an extra 10-14 days to ship item back , that is totally unfair to the Seller

If you have a 30 day return policy, it doesn't matter if the buyer returns it on day two or day 29. Then after the claim is filed, eBay gives them additional time to return the item, usually a couple of weeks, so they could wait util the last minute to return the item. (The last one of these I had, eBay gave the buyer three weeks to return the item so the item was "tied up" for two months.) It seems excessive, but that's the way eBay works.
On the other side of the coin, looks like you are doing very well with what you are selling so congrats on that.

Recently I had an buyer request to return a camera after 7 weeks. Buyer also stated that he noticed nothing wrong with the item when delivered. Even worse, eBay suggested that I accept the return and refund the nearly $400 purchase on what is now a damaged camera.
I decided not to accept refund and thankfully at this point was not forced to do so.
