Really don't have a problem with vero's except for the fact that Ebay Seems to pick and chose who is gone, you need to either kick everyone off or no one, research of comps is good but NOOOOOO , put an item on that has a lot of listings and solds but one day later we have a sealed item and it gets veroed just crazy guess will sell on another platform so you veros just kiss my WHAT? Item was Perfectio Zero Gravity Gold LED Skin Rejuvenation Infrared Light Therapy SEALED

You have it backwards …
eBay doesn’t choose which Vero rights item to remove, it’s the Vero rights owner that tells eBay to take down the item.

I understand that, been doing this for years, just amazes me how they pick what they want out ours was at least Sealed in Box and less than 1700.00 than their website, OH CRAP that might of Done it, well paid 5 bucks for it will profit it out somewhere.

The rightholder or their agent tells Ebay who they believe is infringing and Ebay takes down the listings.
If you are not on the rightsholder's list of authorized resellers you will find you cannot sell brands which protect their distribution channels.
VeRo is cheaper for Ebay than requiring preapproval to list with invoices from the wholesale arm of the manufacturer or their authorized wholesale distributor for the country you are selling in. Amazon makes sellers jump through hoops before they can list many brands. Ebay is more likely to let the manufacturer pull the trigger after you list.
To further complicate matters, many manufacturers have modified their product warranties to require proof of purchase from an authorized reseller. A new item comes with a warranty must have its full warranty otherwise it is New (other)

Do you think paying $5 for it is a little odd if it's worth that much money?

It's not "worth" that much money which is why the company misuses the DMCA to take down any listings of their products. It's all about maintaining the high prices by controlling the distribution chain.

If you are not an Authorized Dealer, the VeRO company will tell eBay to remove your lisitings.
It is possible the company has not noticed the other listings.
It is possible the other sellers are Authorized Dealers.
That would be private or proprietary information and you are not eligible to know which.
@kensgiftshop The OP's purchase price and the MSRP do seem a little out of whack.
@nomad-pickers Best to take a close look at the product and at your supplier. If you had paid $100 it's likely the real thing, but $5?
Most of the value of high priced cosmetics is in the advertising and the packaging, but still.

Looked it up and it's some sort of light that promises to activate collagen or something.
And here is their Warranty:

They do sound protective of their brand.

By law, eBay is required to take down any listing that receives a Vero complaint, even if it seems bogus. So they are not picking and choosing. Below is the policy.

Let's see we have bought many items at 5 dollars and sold for a lot of money, a sasha doll sold for 1600.00 a 50's levi jacket paid 50 cents sold to drop shipper for 1200.00 to name a couple so the answer to your question is NO its not odd we have done it for years many times probably why when we were full time using 4 platforms we were doing $200,000 + for a few years allowed us to retire early we will find a platform to sell the item just was hoping to give someone a great deal on an item.

In your first statement you said "eBay picks", and then ebooksdiva correctly pointed out it is not eBay who picks.
So why does it amaze you that a rights owner is not perfect when it comes to policing eBay for IP violations?

That is not true. There is no law that requires eBay to take down the listing in response to a VERO complaint.
But eBay does have an incentive to take down the listing in order to protect themselves from potential liability.

Yesterday not Vero, today can be Vero. Vero owner reported and removed the item.
