I cannot believe that all of these people selling items on the vero list have permission to do it. Example: Michael Kor Handbags. How on earth do they get them listed?

They create a listing for them.
Just because a brand is on the VERO list does not mean it is prohibited from being sold on eBay.
It simply means that the brand has joined VERO and has chosen to put themselves on the list.
That being said, I suspect eBay has tools to help them police certain categories or brands (like designer handbags) that have a history of counterfeits or whose brands have taken action against eBay.

With many, VERO has just not caught up with them yet.

Thanks for the response. I use a drop ship listing tool to list on ebay. It won't even let me list a vero list item.

If they are genuine bags, VERO usually won't take them down.
VERO mostly applies to counterfeit items.

You don't need permission if you are selling legitimate goods!
The Vero list is meaningless, it only includes rights holders who specifically want their name to appear there. There are thousands of companies that do not publicly reveal they are Vero members. In addition there is absolutely no requirement for a company to be a Vero member in order to file copyright infringement claims. ANYONE can file a takedown notice under the DMCA, Vero membership is NOT required.

Thanks for the responses. This really clears it up. That makes sense. Why would the company not want to sell their product if it's legit.

Some snooty companies feel their name is being sullied if they are listed on ebay.

That's true, and they may not want to divert sales from themselves. If one can't buy it anywhere else, then only the company reaps the benefit of sales.
So it works to their benefit to stop the competition.

But generally it is to prevent fakes and counterfeits from being listed.
I just recall a very popular brand purse that an ebay seller listed. They were a former employee of the purse company and had bought a lot of these purses while she worked there and decided to sell them. The purses were taken down, as counterfeits, but she claimed they were authentic. IIRC she fought them and eventually won.

What's the item you tried to list?

You're selling a MK wallet and only have 2 pics. Ebay allows 12 pics. You need to post more pics of the wallet, such as the tag, lining, canvas, etc.

How do you make any profit buying it at retail price.
Or is this a one and done because you ran out of stock?

I do drop ships only. There are a few, not many, factory rep companies out there who wholesale. You will forgive me for not openly sharing the info in an open ebay forum. This is not a one and done. I have never, ever, stocked any inventory. Drop ship only. Obviously, one must be careful of suppliers. I only used trusted sources.
