So now we can't see how many were sold on a listing anymore? Is this a glitch from the update or is there some sort of genius reason they decided to not show customers how many of a multiple quantity listing have sold?

I rely on it as a seller. I want to see what the competition is doing with an item, especially if I'm going to research my items beforehand.

I don't even see total available any more.

For people who cannot seem to grasp the concept of a test, look up A/B Testing. Keyword: testing. Trial.

Yes, highly informative and a solid number sold breeds more sales

I like it showing the number of items sold.
It gives me more confidence in the item that I am buying.

Glitch ( my definition) A human error that no one will live up to or it is finger pointing time by all. or just a plane ole' cop out.

I've noticed it is gone for me also and tested it with app and incognito and still won't show. They might see it has better turn over rate this way but at what increase and is it worth the hassel of the seller not knowing when to resupply without having to draw up a report which takes way more time? This was a good feature for a surface level look at listings. They should bring it back.

Glad to see rather in unison that sellers want this feature back. Will eBay listen? How can we submit feedback?

Once upon a time eBay had a link called "Tells us what you think" - some time after 2010 it wen "Poof"

For my part, I had noticed that the items sold count had been disappearing and reappearing for some time. Then, after a sudden and inexplicable drop in our sales a few days ago, I checked and saw that the count had disappeared again, without being relocated elsewhere on the page and, it seems, permanently.
This decision is very detrimental to us, as we operate in a market sector where the trust you inspire in future buyers is particularly important, due to the large number of low-quality counterfeit products flooding into this particular sector.
To be honest, I am furious about this change. I have worked hard for years to build a sales account that reassures buyers.

For me, I'm glad. We have several instances of our more popular selling products being copied and listed by sellers in China. There are 10 to 20 or more for each of these counterfeit listings of poorly manufactured items with inaccurate listing information that cuts into our business and does the buyers no favors.
Potential shoppers have to hop thru hoops to get to the view of feedback that shows neutral and negatives to see if they might be looking at a shady seller.

Seems to me it's not their business to know how many of an item has sold.Good point.
When you go into a B&M store, you have no idea how many sold prior.
Funny... I seem to remember McDonalds putting that info right on their signs.
Yes, you are correct. I guess you would want to "brag" about the number sold if it's a big number, but not a small number. I don't think the would have advertised "812 sold".

I guess so.
But if the shelves are full, does that mean you are the first person to buy one ... or did they sell millions before you?

Some clarification from eBay would be helpful if we can expect this to be restored or its just way they want their site to run. Really its a simple buit useful feature that works for me as a buyer and seller.
