Did you mean:

Unknown Violation

I have 724 active listings, each unique. I just got a pop up notification that ONE of my items has a policy violation. Ummm... not real helpful! Is there a way i can find out which one before it gets taken down and i loose all the info, pictures, etc.

Re: Unknown Violation

What happens if you click on the number"1" in the notice?

Or go to your Active Listings and scan the whole page -- there is a column for Item Specifics that tells you if one or more of those is missing. Maybe there?

Are you ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE it cam from eBay?

Here’s a recent one I received’

FROM <ebay@etgar-siud.co.il>

THAT IS NOT AN EBAY ADDRESS

Subject: We had to remove your listing because it didn’t follow our Item description policy

THOSE ARE NOT VALID EBAY NUMBERS

This is what is called a phishing email. If I/you click the link (deactivated here) it will take you to what appears to be the standard eBay log in page. If you enter your log in info you have just handed over the keys to the kingdom to a thief who will rob you blind.

Re: Unknown Violation

richard1rst pretty much summed it up. EBay will not send you a message telling you one of your items has a policy violation they will simply remove it and notify you and hopefully not suspend your account.

Re: Unknown Violation

@ellenshep01 Screenshot of where you saw the pop up please. Also check your messages within the ebay message console. Do you see a message regarding your violation in the !High Priority filter?

Re: Unknown Violation

If this is legit, check what info you have in the policy violation section:

https://www.ebay.com/sellerhelp/policy

if you don't see anything there, it is probably a glitch or not a legitimate claim

Re: Unknown Violation

On its face one can totally see why an ebay seller would totally believe it was a real ebay message.

That is only because so many people have lost their "skeptic" gene.

The "FROM" address is clearly NOT eBay.

First it says "We had to remove your listing " then it says "Go to the listing".

If the first statement is true then the second statement is impossible.

When in doubt, hover your mouse over any link (DO NOT ACTUALLY CLICK IT) and then in the lower left corner of your screen (at least on a PC, I'm not sure about a cell phone) it will display where the link takes you. If it is gibberish RUN AWAY !!!!!

Or more correctly forward it to spoof@ebay.com.

Re: Unknown Violation

I got this same email this morning.  It did not go through Ebay emails either.  I reported it to spoof@ebay.com

When an email doesn't show up in your Ebay messages, Ebay didn't send it.
