Unchecking Private Listing doesn't work!

I have an item that initially was created with "Private listing. Allow buyers to remain anonymous." checked.
I made some sales and, apparently the feedback received is invisible to people on the page of that item. So I decided to UNcheck that option and saved. Unfortunately, to my disappointment, I learned that even though I made the change to the settings it DOESN'T work, item remains Private. 

eBay, could you please fix the Private listing check/uncheck option so it actually works?!

It is hurts me as a seller because people, who is interested in my item, cannot see the feedback from other buyers.

Hope this problem will NOT be ignored by eBay.

The  feedback shows BUT not what was sold.

There is nothing wrong with the setting.

You can not uncheck a sale that has already happened.

That would be unfair and shady to do that to a buyer who bid and won knowing their purchase was private.

It only has available/ sold. (see attached image)

I understand that it is unfair to sold items to show after it was sold as private. I ment going forward, after I unchecked Private Listing, it don't show as Private but, it still does.

I was told by eBay there is no way to change that, only to create a new listing, which means once it's Privat always a Private, which doesn't make sence... I should be able to togle ON/OFF if need to.

But... it doens't work.

You are restricted in what changes can be made to listings, because changing the listing can be confusing for buyers.

One of the things you can't change is the Private setting. I don't see this on the Permitted list for any permutations.

Understand. Unfortunate but a lesson learned.  

Then this why they have this option available? It was checked, I unchecked it but didn't help.

Ebay was right as there is no way to change your mind. YOU chose to keep private so it remains that way. If you want pubic you need to start a new listing. As someone else already pointed out, it would be unfair to all your other buyers. No, there should be no way to toggle ON/OFF because it would open the door to scamming sellers.
