Well today eBay started taking $$$ from my bank account. Just like all those post about mp sux.
I currently have 9 packages lost in postal hubs in East coast. Several filed inr claim's.
I replied. Showed proof of your state postal hub is closed. Out of my hands. Does eBay care HELL No!!
They only want to ripoff sellers.
NO email to buyer your package is on its way. Nope just here is your money enjoy your free stuff when your package arrives.
So too stop this. Closing my bank account today.
Walking away from eBay after 15 years.

Great NOT.....I do not know what is up with the postal service. They should not be taking your money for something you do not have control over. Sorry.

I have been a seller/buyer over 20 years on this site. I predict a mass exodus if they don't protect the sellers more. No one needs more hoop jumping to try and make a buck.

Exact same thing is happening to me, I’ve been selling for 20 years and just ended 30+ listings and walking away from eBay. I can’t afford to send valuable items to buyers, then have eBay refund buyer my money And then have to pay for return shipping but buyer never returns item. I honestly don’t know how other sellers are ok with this policy. Good luck in 2021.

I've had several happen these last few weeks. The post office seems to have imploded right after the election. Now I have packages taking a month to deliver, in 40,000+ packages I've had more issues this last month than I've had in 18 years. It's bad. I'm just glad I never opted into that guaranteed delivery nonsense. I hope ebay remembers we do have other options.

As usual ebay is doing nothing to protect sellers. This postal service disaster is a huge problem and what does ebay do? They take money out of our accounts and give free merchandise to buyers. Has ebay forgotten that we are in the throws of a massive pandemic. The number of cases in December were more than the number of cases in October and November combined!!!. When the pandemic started, ebay told us that "they had our backs". That did not last very long. Unfortunately, we are now in the worst of this pandemic and ebay just does nothing as usual.

Agreed. I’m so sorry this is happening to y’all. I taking my business (buying and selling) elsewhere as well. A lot of free/inexpensive platforms out there to utilize. Between lack of seller protection, the MP system & continued fees on free shipping...

I've been selling 13 years, 30,000 positive feedbacks. I thought I've seen it all... I currently have 50 Priority Mail packages delayed since December 5th totaling over $10,000. I'm getting INR cases opened every couple hours. I'm getting messages from customers demanding refunds every hour or so. I simply don't have $10,000 to refund all these customers.
In early December USPS said "there will be a 2 to 4 business day delay in delivery date." It's 2 to 4 weeks! eBay didn't extend their "Guaranteed delivery dates." That's why I continued shipped with USPS Priority Mail. Customers are sending me messages asking "why would YOU guarantee a delivery date when you can't guarantee it?" I have to explain to them that it's eBay's guarantee not mine.
I started filing claims with USPS and they are slowly getting approved, but I haven't gotten a single refund from the USPS yet. I consider myself a veteran but at this point, I don't know what to do!

Dude - you admit that the packages are lost, but you don’t think that refunds are in order? I get it - this situation sucks. However, the risk is in the seller, not the buyer.

I am so sorry to hear this - 50 packages - I would be in tears. We tracked 13 parcels religiously for days on end and we were emailing buyers right up to Christmas eve. Only 3 arrived after Santa did and all 3 buyers were Saints to understand.
Everything we have shipped since Christmas is arriving fairly quickly, except for PA and MD. Those are starting to worry me again.
Someone on the boards posted the link to file with USPS for a missing parcel. I filed on all 13 of mine and USPS actually responded to me via email and 1 phone call on 9 on them. Amazingly, once I filed those, I started to see some movement overall. It took me all day to do 13, so no idea how long to input 50, but I would maybe start with the most expensive and latest that hasn't arrived and work my way thru. I realize that filing maybe did nothing much, but I copied every buyer that I did it and in the tracking it would then show a Parcel Inquiry in the tracking so the Buyer knew I was attempting something.
I really am sorry. Margins are so very thin anyway and fees are up. Sending Good Vibes your way that snow storms hold off, your parcels start moving and that someone at e-Bay works to help you on these INR filings. I would call or email CS repeatedly until I found someone willing to listen and try. (Yes, I know...but I still would keep trying).

This is getting out of hand. I just had to put 30,000+ items on vacation -do not allow sales. I can't keep up with the refunds and ebay is hanging us in the wind. I'm sure I'm still a small seller to them but I'm hoping enough of us take the inventory away from them to make a change. Until that time I've already started work on my own website in the past month and ebay is working on putting itself in the rearview mirror for me. They're probably also working on earning a massive class action lawsuit for themselves considering one could claim that they're allowing this all to go on because they don't want to slow sales any and miss out on that MP income at the cost and financial wellbeing of their sellers.
