Stamp Out Hunger food drive - What We Do - About.usps.com

Tomorrow is the pick up for food donations by the USPS.  Probably more need this year than ever.   If your Post Office participates they would have given you a post card earlier this week.   This is annual event every second Saturday in May.

I left a bag of food out and my guy didn't take it. I guess NYC did not participate this year..... or he was lazy. LOL

I'd call your local PO and complain.  You are in such a big city, the need has to be enormous.

I live rurally, we didn't get a bag provided by USPS, but I left my own and ours was picked up.

Ours was also Saturday.

No postcard but in our community we receive blue bags a few days prior.

I filled up the bag with canned goods/food items and left it for the mail carrier.

It's a small gesture but it made me feel good.   😃

PO employees didn't take a big pay cut. They have unions and negotiate with management on new contracts, which includes pay raises, not pay cuts.
