Time away or zero quantity?

I have read on the board stories of bad things happening with sales after using eBay Time Away settings. I sell 1-offs. I use eBay inventory (item goes to quantity 0 rather than get deleted) (as a side effect? my sold items are not listed when checking seller sold items).  Using inventory control has helped me in the past through eBay glitches.

First the assumptions and then the question

a. I sell quantity (1) items and end quantity (0) items before time away. Inventory will not be "confused".

b. I don't want to sell any items during time away.

c. I will be away for 1 or 2 weeks and want the least negative impact on my store when I return.

THE QUESTION (answer based on above assumptions):

What is the best Time Away solution with the least negative impact upon return?

1. Best solution is to use the eBay Time Away settings (with paused sales).

2. Best solution is to set all item quantity to 0 and then back to 1 when returning.

3. Use solution 1 or 2 makes no difference.

Time away or zero quantity?

I use "Time Away" every month or so with absolutely no issues.  It adjusts all the shipping times accordingly.  Now, I still pay attention to my account, and answer questions, and remind buyers of shipping delays.  But for a week of vacation, or a business trip, I have never had any issues.  If you don't want to pay attention to your account, or you are going to be gone longer than 15 days, I would use the other time away option that essentially just freezes your listings.
