My last sale was on Nov 13. Somewhere around the 17th I went into the time away mode while moving. That doesn’t end until Dec 13th or when we get our computers set up. Got notice from eBay today that they will be deducting $3.31 from my funding source to pay for money I owe them. I thought they were taking their cut before they ever paid me. Why would there be money owing? I do not have a store.

Did you recently start managed payments? Could there be something left over from a previous invoice?

eBay will deduct final value fees from incoming payments, but final value fees are not the only things a seller can owe. (ex. shipping labels, refunds, Fedex or UPS adjustments and surcharges, etc.)
What does your transaction detail say that the $3.31 charge was for?

Cost of a shipping label First Class 1-4 oz to zone 1-2 (or a return label).
USPS cost adjustment for underpayment.
You'd have to look at your account transactions to see what it's for. We can't do anything more than guess.

Same thing happened to me last week!! The amount of $3.33 was deducted for "USPS Short Paid Fee" it said. I checked the order referenced and saw that I have already been debited $3.33 when I purchased the label over a month ago. And no, I did not ship more than the 4 oz allowed for that label amount. I have shipped hundreds of these items and the weight is ALWAYS under 4 ounces. A phone call to a eBay rep was useless (imagine that!). He said it was a USPS issue, not an eBay issue. He promised to call me back before yesterday (Tuesday), but did not (no surprise). So not only is USPS loosing our packages, but they even have the nerve to charge double!! Watch your "payout" transactions - make sure each order has (1) shipping charge.

Thanks for that. Obviously an error, but not worth fighting it. USPS double charging me for a Hallmark Merry Miniature that weighed 3 oz after it was packaged.

You didn't, by chance, mail it as a letter and then get up-charged because it was thicker than 1/4" and was actual considered a package?

@pvcliff- This link will tell you if you accidentally purchased 2 labels with 2 tracking numbers, or if it really is a duplicate charge for the same label- https://www.ebay.com/ship/lmng/labels-history/seller-hub
