I am going to be out from December 18-22. I was going to try the Time Away feature but I read that if you accept offers or a buyer accepts your offer, these orders would still need to be shipped within your normal handling time. Is this true? If so, then, Time Away does us no good. Most of our sales are made through offers, ones buyers send and ones that I send and they accept. My daughter used to handle all our orders when I was out but she no longer lives here and cannot do it. Should I be just extending my handling time instead of using Time Away? If so, how do I do that in bulk? Thanks!

When you take time away you do NOT have to ship orders you receive during the time you posted you will be gone. Your Vacation ends at 12:00 midnight the last day you posted. at 12.01 the next day you start as if you missed no time at all and continue as always. Enjoy your Vacation.

I just did both....used the "away" option (so buyers knew this was not my 'normal' handling time) and adjusted my shipping time to my return date....I reduced the handling time as my time away decreased so when I got back my handling time was back down to one day.....then the time away notice got removed....and I shipped stuff the next day when I got home....
In other words, I liked the fact that it displayed I was away but would still accept the order.....
You still MUST adjust your handling time though
If memory serves me right, you can "bulk adjust" your handling time in general preferences

when I do time away my listings are hidden (I do not have auctions).
No one can purchase while I am on time away.
Not set up to auto accept offers.
A cover all would be to bulk extend your handling time to avoid any eBay "glitches" about when an item should ship.

Thanks....I still want to get orders so I will look into the bulk edit for my handling time.

I was looking at how to bulk edit handling time and there's no way to do it easily I am finding. I am using several different shipping policies. Will I have to edit each one of those? If I do it in just one listing, will that apply to all listings that use the policy? Will that work? Thanks!

You need to go to Business Policies and edit the Policy itself.
It sounds like you are trying to do it within a list, which think will create an exception to the policy just for that listing.
But otherwise, I think you are correct to be editing the handling time.

If you have an open offer and the buyer accepts it after you're on Time Away, then yes, you have to ship it within your stated handling time.
