Time 2 Ban RU/CCCP listing on ebay ??

Just wondering what the public opinion have to say about banning the sale of anything directly relating to russian/soviet stuff here on ebay. I mean the situation is extraordinary so maybe this is something worth looking into?

The Berlin Wall fell in 1989.  The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was dissolved in 1991.  You obviously believe we should ban these relics of that history. 

I, personally, do not want to destroy history, or deny history, because I believe it is true that those who forget history and fail to learn from history are  doomed to repeat it.   And I would like to see no repetition of the CCCP, thank you.

As for the ushankas and the spoons and the like in one of your links, I do not believe in "cancelling" an entire nation and people because of its governments, which are always temporary, after all.  Russia is a thousand years old, a vast nation geographically (so vast it has 11 time zones), of many peoples, languages, religions.  Its current government, too, shall pass, in time, just as the Soviet government did, in time.

I also think this thread belongs on the Soap Box.

Owing to economic sanctions placed on the Russian Federation by many of the western nations and organizations like the EU there is really not much eBay can do if they still wish to do business with those sanctioning countries.

Extraordinary? No, not at all. 

Life is drama. 

USA flag is offensive to many.

The listings are just stuff. The listings mean nothing as it relates to any issue on the face of the earth.

I call for boycotting boycotters. They get in the way of adults trying to solve problems and pollute and can create anxiety in young people that need to develop.
