Want to know why your sales have tanked? Maybe it's because when a potential customer clicks on your first image in order to enlarge it, it now displays at approximately the size of a postage stamp. I understand somebody named Kyle has put out an ALERT about this. We don't need an ALERT. We need a FIX.

That was the solution I was expecting from the "customer service" rep I spent 45 minutes with trying to explain this issue.

An ALERT means there is a sitewide ticket. That means enough users have been impacted that eBay's system escalated all the account-specific tickets into one sitewide ticket which means the issue is moving up the ladder for a fix.
The more people reporting an issue, the higher priority it gets on the fix list.
If others experience this issue they should contact CS and ask for their account to be added to the tech ticket:
Image 1 will be displayed smaller than all others (April 21st, 2023)

Provide Member ID:
Provide Item number:

Thanks for the input, but I have one correction. This isn't a case of "others experiencing this issue." EVERYONE is experiencing this issue, whether they've noticed it or not. So I guess it's time for EVERYONE to get busy and get this one to the top rung of the ladder.
It's also kind of funny they ask you to provide an item number. When the CS rep asked me to do this, I told her, "pick an item, any item."

I am thinking that the new dynamic campaign may also be affecting the sustained visibility of promoted listings. One minute your promoted listing will be in the top 3 search results and the next minute it might not even be in the top 15.

I am not sure, but I see your first image and all other images as gigantic.

Yeah, that's when you "hover" over them. Try clicking on the first image to enlarge it, and then compare it to the size of the second image, which is how they both should be. The screenshot you posted is not an enlargement of the entire image, it's just an enlargement that you can pan around to different parts of the image.

It's not about the hover/zoom feature @ten_o_nine.
You can read this thread for a better explanation and visuals. Specifically posts 12 and 14 have screenshots.

I'm not experiencing that.

This has been going on for over a week now. Outside of complaining I've taken to repeating the first gallery photo as the second photo. 😡

Well, yes, that is a workaround, but it's also Crazy Town.

I hadn't noticed because I use the hover zoom feature if I really want to inspect something up close, that function does not appear to be afflicted in the same way.

I suppose we should be more thankful for small miracles.
