This is BEYOND ridiculous eBay! You have buried my listings with 11 rows of promoted items!!!

My listings are buried with eBay promoted listings.  11 rows of 5 items for every listing.   That's 55 other peoples listings that are being advertised on my listings.

In order to see what your potential buyers see DO NOT sign in…. Do a general search for your item because you won’t see it if you are signed in and viewing your item through “My eBay”

Here is a list of the headings for all of the recommendations. There are 5 recommendations per line.  These headings appear just below the original listing, in between the original listing and the description and below the listing.  UNBELIEVABLE!

nope, not my intent.......  it's just that some people don't realize they could benefit from their item showing on one of those lines......

honestly don't see the benefit of being one of the 55 that they're showing in those lines...

And we wonder why people don't read the descriptions.   It's a hassle to even find the description.  If a buyer goes to your listing they should be able to see what they clicked to see.  Why not put the promotions after the listing?  None of it makes any sense, in my opinion.

THIS ^^^^.   I was looking at some listings earlier & gave up on trying to find the description.   Like OP's, it had 6 or 7 rows before getting to the description.  With so many people only doing 1 line descriptions, they are getting completely lost!

Agreed. When I click on an item.... I WANT TO SEE THE PICTURES AND THE DESCRIPTION FOR WHAT I ALREADY CHOSE TO SEE!!!, Not 55 unrelated listings that are there because those sheets course to pay eBay a "bribe" to show them. 

Make the search results actually show what we search for and eBay will dig itself out of this hole it dug by neglecting it's customers for so long

Well, a lot of the promoted listings at least in my selling line are RIDICULOUSLY HIGH PRICED. So much so that the actual item that these people are selling can be bought directly from the manufacturer at about 50 percent less. No wonder people shop somewhere else sometimes. But hey, if you are in an extremely saturated category here it’s the only way to be seen unless, your price is way better than theirs I reckon.

So what if there are many of them along with yours, if yours are better priced, they just might choose you instead of them. Let the folks upping their prices help you sell yours.

You gotta remember those folks are paying a lot just to be in those spots so they have to increase their prices to compensate. So, the other good factor for you is that they are PAYING to sell yours if yours end up being seen on their page.

But the whole problem is this promoted listing while viewing a listing is what driving down sales.

So maybe try promoting just a few of yours, not the whole business and test it out and see if you can get yours in there as well.
