This is the second time this happened to me. I listed a pair of sandals stating that they were "well worn". My listing was taken down for being" too used". What? Before listing I made sure there were others listed. Low in behold, after it was removed I checked and there is a load of them listed as" shoes well worn". UNBELIEVABLE. Any thoughts?

ESPECIALLY sandals, where your bare feet are in constant contact with the footbed of the shoe. And you wear sandals during the summer, which is when your feet sweat the most...
Gonna agree with everyone else here, OP. Just toss them.

I was shocked that there were people BIDDING on used sandals when I was looking for a new pair for the summer.
My philosophy: If you're looking for used sandals because you can't afford new sandals, you don't really need sandals.

It is not that the buyer's will "wear" them - they have other intentions in mind 😉 There is a market for "well worn" items, which will be used, but not for their original intention 😉
Stopping here before I end up in the Blue Lagoon 😉

@justi-weeke Take the advice and do NOT list them or any other listings eBay removes.
Some things should probably not be sold here and maybe well worn footwear is one of them.
However, there are ways to indicate an item has wear ... vintage toys come to mind so some options for stating wear might be "signs of wear from normal use", "heavy signs of wear from normal use", "this is an experienced toy based on the signs of wear", etc. Then specific damage can be added.

I know people here in London that make fortune selling the well worn stuff.
Fetish.
Banned on ebay though.

That's interesting. I typed the same thing into search and didn't see one nude. Some were, though, rather risque.

To the untrained eye, they may appear to be "well worn sandals".
To the clever ebay marketeer, they are "brand new doggie chew toys".

Yeah I don't get why "well worn" has to mean they are specifically only for fetish purposes, some people like their shoes and clothing extremely broke in because it's more comfortable was well, others give them to their dogs to chew on, others cut them up for other projects, but I'm assuming eBay does NOT want people using the term "well worn" the OP needs to stop using it.

I disagree --- the idea here is to see the world as others see it --- in other word to:
WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES
Can't do this unless they have been "well worn" ...

I had never heard of such a thing. How does ebay decide what is "too used"?
