Pages aren't loading, or take way too long. They don't time out, they just don't open. Every other website works, just not ebay. I called my ISP yesterday, thinking it might be a routing issue. They went through everything. Checked the firewall, made sure I was using the current version of Firefox, cleared my cache. They did notice when they pinged ebay that ebay's IP address kept changing, which they said is strange. Nothing on their end. I called ebay yesterday and reported the problem and ebay reported it to the Tech department. It's still doing it today. Very frustrating. Anyone else eperiencing this or know what the problem is? I've tried other browsers. IE won't even let me log in. Same with Chrome.

eBay servers stall dozens of times per day, all you can do is close your browser out and come back again.
Leave this tab open in your browser so you can confirm it is eBay and that it is not your internet connection, then you will know for sure.

Sometimes eBay stalls and some days are worse then others. Close the stalled browser and reopen another. Running a frequent virus and malware scan is also helpful.

Already did the malware and virus scan. Nothing found.

It is not your computer, eBay servers stall dozens of time daily, all you can do is close your browser out, and start all over again and hope that load balancing in the data center gets you back in.

"Leave this tab open in your browser so you can confirm it is eBay and that it is not your internet connection, then you will know for sure."
Not following what you are saying, but I already did the speed test and speed is where it should be.

"eBay servers stall dozens of time daily"
I went to the site map, which took several minutes to load. Just about every link I tried to open on that page wouldn't or took way too long. The request never timed out, just a continuos loading.

Not getting what, it is not hard to understand, when eBay stalls run the speed test in the other tab to confirm it is not your internet connection.

@talisman778 No issues like that here on the East Coast ... that IP issue ... well, I am sure eBay has a block of them assigned to their account by the local service provider ... but to have it flip back and forth during a session ... ummm, not good.

Just did speed test while ebay page was trying to load, and still trying to load as I type. Speed is fine.

I can ping ebay and watch the IP switch between two. One minute it's one number, the next it's another.

A Standard virtual server (also known as a load balancing virtual server) directs client traffic to a load balancing pool and is the most basic type of virtual server.
That is because of load balancing, you would have to ask a server farm expert about how that works in data centers.

which took several minutes to load
have you tried doing a refresh while it's trying to load? Sometimes that works for me when pages are slow to load.......brings them up almost instantly......
I use FF also and no troubles today, but have had some in last wk.......the weather channel site in particular takes forever and sometimes never completes.....

Yes, I have tried refresh. It will even stall when using the back button.

I don't have these issues. I honestly believe it's a Level 3 problem and not Ebay. Level 3 (a major internet backbone) has been having issues for months. I live in MS and everything here works fine, and I have 2.5 mbps DSL
