I have noticed you are now taxing both buyers and sellers.  Should be buyers only.  Why being taxed on selling???  Being taxed twice.

Sellers are not being taxed, but you are charged a fee on the sales tax the buyer pays.

Have a great day.

Taxed items

You will on April 15th have taxes due on what you have sold on eBay, it is income.

Only the buyer is paying the required tax when they buy your items. You are paying fees on the total amount of received  which will include: item sales price,  sales tax money collected by eBay and shipping. Plus a .30c transaction fee.

You are not paying any taxes until you file your federal or as required state income taxes.

eBay does not tax buyers or sellers.

Governments do that.

eBay merely collects the taxes that the law prescribes.

eBay is collecting, by law, state sales tax for purchases in about 43 states and remitting the funds to the appropriate state's treasury.

Can you show us a listing where both the buyer and the seller were taxed?

You aren't referring to eBay's final value fee as a "tax", are you?

I'm not taxing anyone, except occasionally my wife's patience.

eBay collects tax from buyers because state laws require them to.

eBay does NOT tax sellers. You are confused, or your definition of "tax" isn't the same as everyone else's.

Are you calling your final value fees a tax?

So what about items that you buy on ebay, that youre taxed for obviously, and then you sell this item on ebay again for more and they are now taxing  you for the full price of that. Example : I buy something for 50$ i get taxed on that 50$  I then sell it for 200$ which i get taxed for as well, so  im paying tax twice for the same item.... at least for the 50$  of it..  is that legal? I aint payin twice

Keep the receipt, then you would only be paying income taxes on the $150 profit after you deduct the cost when you file, so yes it is the law. The first $50 you pay sales tax, again that is the law.
