TRACKING INFO FOR GREECE

I had a cusomer buy a solid gold watch with gold coins on the band. It sold for $2500.00. He said he did not want to pay the Priority shipping and to please ship it first class. It has never arrived. Right after that, he won a one ounce gold bullion bar for $1400....same thing, then a half ounce of bullion. None of them got to him. I'm out $5,000. I think the whole thing is a scam. Anyone else have this happen?

Sorry to stand over the wound with a salt shaker but you would have lost no matter how you sent it.  Anything over $750 requires online viewable signature confirmation.  To the best of my knowledge, there isn't any USPS service which provides that for international shipping.  Not even Global Express.

But to keep doing it after the first problem?  That's all on  you.

He won each item within a few days, so the first and second had not arrived but were tracking...once they passed thru Greece customs they never showed on the tracking radar again. Greece is a poor bankrupt country and I'd say it doesn't take much to pay off a mailman to say they were not delivered.

P.O. said I could not insure First Class mail over there...ugh...but I'm asking for help from ebay to NOT pay him...they are really considering it..not sure I will win, but it's worth a try. I sell over $1,000,000.00 a year...I'd hope they would back me...geez...my fees are always over $5,000 a month with them.

I live in Alaska...we don't have access to FedEx and UPS like normal people do...it's outrageous and I have shipped overseas for years and years...PO said NO insurance for first class...all my items are expensive...so I did learn a lesson...that is for sure...NO MORE GREECE

Thanks for response! First package went out Sept. 4th; shows cleared customs Sept. 25th

2nd one shipped Sept. 10th; shows cleared customs on Sept. 26th

3rd one shipped Sept. 11th. shows has not yet cleared customs or gotten to Greece.

They are in three different places! That's what's strange...last movement is Sept 26th on any of them.

Yes, I just rechecked all of the shipping...they are all in different places...so there is a glimmer of hope...but for the last movement being nearly a month ago, I'd still say there is a scam going on...somehow...I hate to think that way...but!
I have not refunded him yet...ebay gave me an extension.

Nothing was insured, and yes, I'm seasoned and have truly never been scammed...19 years of selling...this is a first for me...I'm a one-woman business and I sell over $1,million a year...there is a first for everything...this one really got me.

Your first red flag should have been shipping merchandise to a foreign country without tracking. I see you've been here about 11 years. How long you been doing that?

Right about now, your buyer is showing his shiny new jewelry to his GF, laughing over a glass of Greek wine.
