Hey everyone. Was wondering if I can get some opinions as to the best practices for my store's categorical organization. We sell original printed t's and I just found some info regarding store categories and search engine keywords which made me second guess the current structure we're using.
We have several original brands that serve as primary store categories, and then the styles of garments and/or themes of designs make up the secondary and tertiary categories. Is this sufficient? Or would it make more sense from an SEO standpoint to have the primary categories consisting of items like "mens" "womens" "baby/toddler" etc., and then have the sub categories be the brands and then garment styles?
I've found a couple schools of thought regarding store categories, so any info you could give would be most appreciated!
Thanks!

I'd make two Top Level Categories: Theme and Size. Under those, I'd put different themes and different sized. Then list each T under the appropriate theme and size. This allows someone to browse for all related themes or find differing themes in the same size.
