Stop changing the eBay APP !!!

"Don't fix something that's not broken"

I feel like eBay is making things 10 times harder for sellers with the recent app updates.

#1 issue, I can no longer click on one of my active listing to view how many i've sold and how many I have on hand. Now all that I see when I click on a listing is how many views and followers that item has. If I was a social media influencer this would make sense, I'm not though! I run a business on eBay and I'd like to be able to see how many of a specific item i've sold, and how many are on hand in inventory. I've called and spoke to multiple eBay reps and I'm being told to either use a Desktop or if I'd like to view this information on my phone, then simply open eBay in a web browser on my phone. You're joking me? Fix the app.

Second issue, which came from another huge change just today. Feedback! Unless eBay is trying to get rid of the entire feedback feature, you're making it extremely hard to leave feedback. I personally leave feedback only for buyers that leave me feedback. My routine prior to todays update was to view my store page on my phone, then click on feedback, then click on a specific buyers feedback. That used to take me to a screen that showed that buyers transaction details and the blue box tab at the bottom would default to "Leave Feedback" for the buyer. Nope, not anymore. Now, I go to my store page, click feedback, then I still see recent feedback but now the only thing I can click on is underneath their feedback and it's the item they bought. Clicking on it takes me to the listing for the item they bought. No way to view the transaction details, can't leave feedback, nothin. Instead, to leave feedback using my phone I have to go to seller>sold  then scroll thru sale after sale until locating the buyers that left feedback.

Last year was my first full year of selling on eBay. I used my phone like a handheld for my business the entire time and I was able to see on hand inventory, # of an item sold and easily leave feedback to buyers. I'm shocked that within 2 weeks the app has completely changed my workflow and I'm being told by an eBay rep that the solution is to "open eBay thru a web browser on my phone."

Is anyone else having these same issues?

Can someone from eBay get the app developers to take sellers into consideration before making useless changes?

I also don't appreciate eBay auto turning my International Shipping on. I opted out of that program 5 months ago and in the last two weeks I've had 2 international orders.

Stop changing the eBay APP !!!

I have always thought the eBay app was broken. Cumbersome etc. etc.

I do know some can actually make it work for them. The only way I have ever been able to see a darn thing would be to open it through a web browser.

Stop changing the eBay APP !!!

If you click on buy/selling at the top of the board.........the dropdown will show 2 boards for mobile.......IOS and Android....post would probably do more good on one of those.....used to be ebay blues that monitored them, don't know if it's still true......

Stop changing the eBay APP !!!

As someone who remembers the "good old days" of eBay which went something like this....

  1. Take photo(s) with digital camera
  2. Transfer photo(s) to computer
  3. Create listing.
  4. Upload photo
  5. Require USPS money order
  6. Wait for envelope with payment to arrive
  7. Take money order to bank/USPS
  8. Get paid.
  9. Box/prepare items for shipment
  10. Take items to post office

The eBay app and USPS have largely automated many processes that used to be cumbersome or inconvenient.

You might consider change your "standard practice" of only leaving feedback when someone leaves you feedback. And simply select Selling > Sold > Leave Feedback. As sellers, we don't have any leverage over buyers by leaving a negative feedback so long as they complete the transaction.

The app is great. Thanks to vast improvements in camera technology in handheld devices, and their app. It has greatly simplified many processes.
