Last week I got a negative review from a buyer who purchased Levi’s 501s 6 weeks earlier. The review said “These were a Slim Fit and they didn’t fit me even though they were my size”. I used the “request a revision” feature, even though I never expected it to work. I (politely, I hope) asked the buyer what I had done wrong, let them know that 501s don’t come in “slim fit”, only regular straight leg, and asked if the measurements included in the ad were wrong. The buyer just revised the feedback! Positive feedback and “perfect fit!” I’m grateful and somewhat amazed. Miracles do happen 👍

Probably a mistake.

Well good for you, they probably read your steller FB and felt like a jerk! Congrats!

Thanks for this. It's a reminder that most eBay buyers are decent, honest, and reasonable people, as are most eBay sellers.
These Sellling and Buying forums are mostly the Complaint Department. It's easy to forget that every day hundreds of thousands of people complete millions of transactions here to their perfect satisfaction; or, if there are hitches, resolve matters amiably.

got you mixed up with some one else and your request let them know... Good for you, and glad you found an honest purchaser..

At first I figured it was a Covid-15 victim forgetting to order the next size UP. All of my jeans have shrunk over the past fifteen months and the complaint dept. is right in my own mirror. Glad your sale worked out well.

Glad your revision request worked.
So many times it does not, but great reminder to at least try before running to e-Bay to tackle.
They likely confused 2 orders or facts, but at least "owned" it as a Buyer, which seems rare these days.
Thanks for posting. Great reminder too, not all is gloom and doom.

Yep. My doctor quipped that it's called Covid-19 because a weight gain of up to 19 pounds is a common and expected symptom. 😁

I am glad things worked out for you.maybe it never occurred to the buyer about the slim fit.
sometimes a buyer can be thinking of something when they are buying and are puzzled as to why they might have thought they ordered something else......slim fits on the mind
its one of those you wont know till you find out things.in your case it worked out good and all you had to do was ask
