So tired of having to double check everything and then have ebay do it wrong anyway

Just went to mail a parcel. Listing was set up to be $4.95 FCP for 1 and $3.00 for each additional (because more than 1 ups the weight to have to go PM). Buyer bought 2 so shipping should have been $7.95 ($4.95 +$3), but instead the buyer was only charged for the first one.

Went back and checked the listing and yep, was set up to charge an additional $3 shipping for the 2nd one.

Wonder if ebay will honor my listing terms and give me a credit for the $3 shipping the buyer didn't have to pay?

brian@ebay, why did the checkout flow ignore this seller's shipping charges on multiple items?

Good question. And I can prove how I had it set up easily enough. All they have to do is go to sell similar and they'll see what the shipping was set at.

All I can do is TG it was a FCP item and not some hefty thing that required a FRP box.

Hi @myjunqueyourtreasure! I'm not sure why the additional shipping cost wasn't applied, though it looks like it should have. I've gone ahead and reported this to our techs for review. In regard to a credit, I'd recommend contacting customer service to see what options may be available.

I am with you on this one.

I listed some heavy items, which I knew wouldn't sell that quick. Well, not long ago I checker their status, some pictures went to Mars or Jupiter. Smiley Very Happy

No, I haven't yet. Not sure I want the headache of explaining it

Okay, so I called. They don't do credits for "shipping" issues. Even after I explained nicely this wasn't a "shipping" issue per se it was an ebay caused undercharge to the buyer.

Please follow up on this. The CS rep did not issue a credit and it appears they didn't offer any other options to resolve this or the OP probably would have told us.

I've noticed listings of mine which state expedited shipping when I had no intention of having that there.   Maybe it was an accident on my part or a software glitch.  Has anyone else noticed this?

In the CSR's defence he was as befuddled by it as I was. I happened to get a US based one so that was good. He did say he was opening a technical ticket and I told him to mention also the "glitch" that causes adding a quantity to a listing with 1 brings up the 'each additional' box which always defaults to zero.

Hi @myjunqueyourtreasure, you should see an invoice credit on your account now. Thanks for reporting this!
