Slow Sales?

Is anyone else experiencing much lower sales than years past?  I am only doing about 1/2 the sales as the summer months last year.  just wondering if it is something that I am doing, or is everyone seeing the same down turn.

I'm down about half volume...started about 3 weeks ago

Its dead here.....but it also happened last year at this same time.

What has me concerned is the one sale I had yesterday.

Paypal cancelled the sale and refunded the money automatically within 2 hours after the sale.  I also have no record of the sold listing in my ebay.

The listing is gone.....just gone.

I sell on several sites and  I am down everywhere.

Nothing selling last 2 months.

Step by step slow down last 2 years.From $4000-5000 and more a month 2 years ago now $1000....

Very sad.

Major concerns....I have listings that have just vanished, listing descriptions that change to something entirely different when it looks fine on the HTML and written out description tab....Coincidence? All been since June...sale of Vendio to Alibabi....I am extremely concerned over the countless and apparently endless hours and have called CS repeatedly.....One sale in days.....$10. Another coincidence?

Getting real hard to stomach!....these "gliches"!

Sales are good on both Amazon and ebay (used books), however I have a lot more listed on ebay, the most ever. I have almost everything at Fixed Price in my store and I accept a lot of offers. I don't get as many combined orders as I'd like. I set up a sale on my account, a discount on orders $25 and up. So far I haven't sold anything from that.

I think he was saying in order to destroy eBay they had to attack it on their own turf. Which is what they are doing. Ooh! And Americans are happy to throw money at Forty Thieves like it won't do any harm. Isn't that special!

Pretty much as good or better than previous years BUT with at least twice the listings.

We all know the fable of the rabbbit and turtle, Ebay was the rabbit but ignored and took advantage of the small army of turtles  that made it appear fast and now is loosing fast....poetic justice.

I don't see how the tortoise and the hare story plays into this. Alibaba nor China have ever been the underdogs. The sharks and the crocodiles have an alliance now and they're eating all the sea and land turtles alive. The turtles aren't winning in any sense. We're being eradicated.

I suppose the rabbit or hare is too. Most rabbits and turtles are peaceful creatures. Sharks and crocodiles bite the hand that feeds them. They're real jerks.

Yup, it's rough out there. I sell mostly jewelry and beads, though some collectibles. My jewelry and beads are either handmade in the US, or the popular Bali, in the case of many of my sterling silver beads. I have them priced dirt cheap, taking a loss on most, and it's still slow. A lot of competition from China and not so many buyers. All you can do is keep on keeping on. Hang in there!
