Shortchanged myself again

So I thought ebay was going to charge me the 13.25% for selling a model train but they charge more than that. Are fees for model trains more?

The standard Final Value Fee for model trains is 13.25% of the total value of the transaction (item+shipping+sales tax), there are addition fees that apply, some apply to all sales and some apply only to some sales.

Additional fees

Fixed Transaction Fee

International Fee

Promotion Fee

Listing Upgrade Fee

Just a suggestion that would possibly make your life easier rather than the continued lashing out.

You ask the simplest of questions, and then strike venom at those offering to assist with why you are having an issue ......................

You have some of the best responders and mentors giving you excellent advice, yet you are putting them down.  You asked a question and they answered correctly.  You were charged 13.25% on the total:  item + sales tax + shipping plus a 40cent transaction fee.  If you chose any upgrades or promos, they would have also been charged as well.  Go to your payouts, click on the transaction and then details.  You will see the exact breakdown.

Under here, you can view the details of your sale at the lower right:

If you click the View more details link above you will go to all the transactions for this order sale:

Under here, you can click the View button for the Sale of the item (not the shipping) and get this:

And if you click the little down arrow where it says Fees based on:

You then should have all the information you need to know where the fees came from.

Note.

I don't use advertisements or other extras.  I do basic listings, so my fees are always the same.  If you opt in for additional stuff, you are going to get hit with more fees than what you see here.

But every sale I ever do always looks the same.

The only difference are those sales that have free shipping where I get a small discount being a top rated seller, providing the listing meets the requirements to allow it.

Why are you also assuming I did not go to my sellers dashboard to check my payout before asking my question and that I did not already see the breakdown? So many assumptions so many quick conclusions. If you look at my history here I have defied several of the "tribal" experts in the past. Be kind.

During the many years that I was a service provider in the public sector, I had occasion (as I always would tend to do) to say, "Good Morning" "Good Afternoon" "Hello" etc. to many people.

As they walked by me or otherwise were in my line of sight.

Maybe one million people over 45+ years. Maybe more. Anyway, lots of fellow human beings.

Once in a Blue Moon, when I would smile and say this to a fellow human being navigating by me, they would reply:

                                 "What do you mean by that?"

They didn't say it with a tone of wonder, bemusement or curiosity. Oddly, this memory now comes to mind.

Well, then good luck figuring it out on your own.  Based on your reaction to questions from others, its sounds like a "you" problem.  Not an us problem.
