Shipping

I am going to raise my price on a certain item to cover shipping/handling. However, I will be going outside ebay for shipping. Will the shipping costs still come out of the total price of the item?

Re: Shipping

Shipping is paid for where it is purchased.

If you do not purchase a shipping label through eBay then the shipping paid by the buyer will remain in the amount that you get from eBay after fees are deducted.

Re: Shipping

@bit22pix  Yes - nothing will change. eBay is just a portal for purchasing shipping, it doesn't actually issue labels itself - they still come from USPS, UPS, etc.

ETA: Don't forget to add any tracking information into the tracking area on your sale, though, unless the shipping app you use is synced (Stamps, Pirate, etc.).

Re: Shipping

If you don't buy your shipping label through Ebay, you'll have to pay for it.

The money the buyer pays for the shipping will be included in your payment.

Have a great day.

One still has to pay for it no matter what - it's just whether the label cost is automatically deducted (any app synced with eBay, including eBay) or not.

*Not meaning to be nit-picky, but there's some confusion here that somehow eBay itself issues or somehow "sponsors" the labels as does a number of other platforms.

If you purchase a label on, say Pirate ship,.......that cost will NOT be deducted from the ebay transaction.........  you will pay for it out of your pocket......

Re: Shipping

You will be paying ebay a higher final value fee (fvf) because of your increased price, just fyi. The shipping costs will come out of your own funding source used to pay for your labels, as others have said. Just remember to add that tracking from your shipping provider into your ebay sales record.

Right, doesn't matter where you buy your shipping labels for Ebay, seller pays for it.

I've heard a few of them other places provide the shipping labels for their sellers, but don't know how they do it.

Have a great day.
