Hi.
I am writing this message to get an advice for the below mentioned matter.
I have an item in China. My supplier is using USPS to ship the item to USA, but after i placed an order for an order which i got via ebay, i noticed that USPS tracking does not show the entire tracking process from China. The USPS tracking no which is got from the supplier starts to track after the item arrives to USA.
Since i have added the item location in my listing as "China - Beijing" will that be an issue for my upcoming order and for the ongoing order for that certain listing.
Please assist me on this matter.
Your assistance for this matter is highly appreciated.
Thanks and Warm Regards and Happy Selling,

(Listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay. )

Your listings show the item is IN the USA...California to be specific. YES it is against ebay policy if the item is not actually located in the USA for shipping.
You are required to use the correct item location.

I don't think it will be an issue. I've never expected to see tracking process data within China from USPS. It is well known that USPS does not operate within China and would be unable to provide information for package movement in China.

Ebay requires the item LOCATION to be correct. The seller MUST use appropriate shipping.

Are your buyers aware that you're drop shipping from China & that you're using a foreign courier service to bring in the goods into the USA?
Good luck!

Hi janet9988.
I have included the correct item location. Actually the item is shipping from China but the USPS tracking ID that i got does not show the item movement that happened at China.
Will that be an issue.

hi 714ricki
Yes. The buyer is fully aware because in the listing i have mentioned the item location as China - Beijing.
It will not be an issue right.

Hi janet9988.
The location of the item i have mentioned is China-Beijing because the item is sold by a wholesale supplier who is in China. He is using USPS to ship the item to China. But the issue is the USPS tracking ID that he sent me does not show the item movement that happened in China.
Will that be an issue.

The items coming out of China to wherever they are going are likely NOT being shipped out of China using USPS but some other shipper. The item is handed off to USPS or whatever other carrier that is being used in the country in which the item arrives.
Like many others who attempt to use drop shipping for a business model your time as a seller is probably limited before eBay suspends your account. Most of your items are currently showing as being located in California and only selling to the US. You have an extended handling time of 4 days are using that thinking you can get the item from China to the US in 4 days and then to the buyer in another 4?
If these items are actually coming out of China from a supplier you are going to have major problems in the event a buyer opens a return, and INR or NAD claim or a chargeback.

Your problem is that you appear to be drop shipping from a retailer. Customers must know exactly where their items are coming from, as item location misrepresentation is a policy violation on Ebay and can get your account suspended permanently. So will drop shipping from a retailer. If the item is in China, China uses speedpak for their service. If the item is in US, then USPS or another US courier service will ship the item.
Please read this link:
Drop shipping and product sourcing
"However, listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay. Activity that doesn’t follow eBay policy could result in a range of actions including but not limited to: administratively ending or canceling listings, hiding or demoting all listings from search results, lowering seller rating, buying or selling restrictions, loss of buyer or seller protections, and account suspension. All fees paid or payable in relation to listings or accounts on which we take any action will not be refunded or otherwise credited to your account."
Good luck with this.

It doesn't sound, from what's been described, that this is what the OP is doing. It sounds like the OP has a contract with a supplier to ship inventory for him/her, which is perfectly acceptable on eBay.
"Drop shipping, where you fulfill orders directly from a wholesale supplier, is allowed on eBay."
