I've been receiving warnings on my Awatiging Shipping list of orders.
When the order comes in late after midnight, it will already be flagged as being late to ship, at the moment that it comes in.
This must be due to a Same Business Day shipping policy. I have an order cutoff time of 3PM Eastern.
Two nights in a row I've received orders just after midnight and they're already flagged. Some others have been flagged as well the first time that they post.
I am 100% sure that I didn't miss earlier orders. I see them as they flow in on ebay.com and also in email notifictations and I process them each within 10 minutes of receiving them.
For now I'm changing from Same Business Day to 1 Business Day because I feel like the eBay system is handling this incorrectly.
Is this common or do I need to change somethign?

Please remember that eBay time is Pacific time. Orders being paid after midnight Eastern time are actually being paid the day before. For example, you receive a payment at 2:00 a.m. Eastern time on Wednesday. That payment is recorded as received at 11:00 p.m. p.m. Tuesday.
Yes, it's a good idea to specify next business day shipping. Then you can ship earlier if it's convenient. In my example, you would need to ship anytime on Wednesday but an order paid after 3:00 a.m. Eastern time Wednesday (midnight PT) could be shipped Wednesday or Thursday.

Not having same day shipping, I'm not sure how it works.
If the order comes in at 2PM Eastern, is it also flagged as late to ship?

@stoneledge Why don't you change to 1-day shipping and not have to worry about this with the time difference? There is no difference between same day and 1-day -- in the sense of, they are both TRS+ listings.
I would never mess around with same day handling time.

Change to One-Day shipping. There is NO advantage to offering same-day shipping.

I still don't understand why eBay is giving me the false error that the package is overdue for shipping.

no
So can you explain a bit more about when it does do that?
It works correctly at 2PM. It's been working badly at 12:05AM. Right?
How about 6AM?
Just since yesterday?

No, it's not common. Yes, you need to change something (i.e. you need to do what the other posters have told you to do, instead of repeatedly posting "see original post").

Cutoff times are based on the seller's time zone.
The buyer's time zone is irrelevant to me or any seller.
I'm on Eastern Time.
My cutoff time page is set to Easter, and 3PM.
(it's not set to 2AM. Please don't make up false information that confuses people. thanks)
