Shipping Issues new listing

Hi,

I just added a couple new listings today, and couldn’t find USPS First Class Shipping as an option. Has anyone experienced this? I even tried revising my listing, but it still doesn’t show First Class as an option!?? I use this all the time?! Any suggestions?

Maybe Ebay change it to another shipping options. Did you see any new shipping option?

Hi, try using the Advanced listing form instead of the quick listing form or the app.  Been hearing some complaints recently about this very problem. Not sure if it is a glitch, but switching to the Advanced format should be one work-around. Good luck!

this does work, i just tried it and first class is there. But everything i have listed now does not show that for shipping anymore. Do i have to revise everything i have listed in advanced format?

It seems like already listed items will stay first class unless you go in to edit them, then it takes first class away and doesn't allow you to choose it again.

This is all very annoying, hope it gets fixed soon.

4/28/21--The Ebay representative told me USPS pulled the First Class shipping option from Ebay Sellers that do not meet their quota.  She did not have an answer for what the quota is.  She did say that USPS said some sellers are taking advantage of the First Class Shipping service they offer.  An Ebay supervisor will be calling me back today.  I will keep you updated

The Quick Listing tool and App are having technical issues. I suggest you switch to the Business Tool on a PC. All of the information you already entered will still be there.

Select switch to the Business Tool on the upper right-hand side of the draft. Ignore the warning, anyone can use this tool.

You can edit them in Bulk from your Seller Hub. A pain... but it takes less time.

I just received a call back from an Ebay supervisor.  He is saying the USPS has canceled the First Class Option for sellers when listing and printing labels for their items. The supervisor says as of now Ebay is trying to work with USPS to get more options for their sellers.  However, the USPS decided to discontinue the First Class Service because Ebay Sellers would take advantage of First Class shipping and not put correct weights on packages .   To solve this as of now,  USPS offers Sellers the option of walking their packages into the Post Office where USPS will manually weigh each package themselves for the seller.  There they will offer the Seller the First Class shipping for the item if it is under 1 pound.  Unfortunately there will not be an Ebay discount at the Post Office either.  He did also say  Ebay Sellers could call a USPS representative directly if they want an in depth explanation why the First Class shipping option was canceled.

I just printed a FCP label this morning.

The quick lister and the app are having technical issues, so for now you have to use the advanced form, which everyone should be doing anyway because the other forms are garbage.

Likewise... and I'm about to print another one right now. The First Class Package option is sitting right where it always is on the Shipping form. I'm looking at it.

It's fascinating how someone at eBay would actually go to the trouble of calling a seller back to deliver what sounds like wildly inaccurate information. That's taking cluelessness to the next level. If there was a grain of truth in that somewhere, the least they could do is post a notice about it, rather than leave members to discover it (whatever "it" is) for themselves, then try to get a knowledgeable reply out of Customer Service.

Happy to say that they have just added a mention of this in the opening post of today's Weedkly Chat:

"We are also aware that USPS First Class Package is not showing up as a shipping option in the listing flow for some members in the mobile app and desktop. This is urgently being worked on and we anticipate a quick resolution. "

No, everything looked the same, just didn’t have the option for First Class Mail??!!

Thank you. I was listing on my phone, using the eBay App. I do it all the time with no issues... then without warning, it was no longer available. Hopefully it’s a glitch they’ll get fix. I’ll try the Advanced instead. Thanks!
