I set up flat rate shipping in my store and its not working. When people buy more than one item from my store, they are charged $2.95 for each item instead of $2.95 for the whole order.
I put the info correctly in shipping preferences but read that I need to go into flat rate and put 100% for second item. Still not working.
What do I do to make all order one flat shipping rate so I don't have to either refund or correct invoice?
Thanks in advance!

I'm confusing myself but I think I finally did it right. I put all shipping to $2.99 so hoping there is flat rate shipping now for all items.

If I add 2 items now, it charges $5.98 shipping. I don't know what you did, but whatever it is, that is not the correct solution for $2.95 (or now $2.99) max shipping per order that you wanted to do.

OMG I'm getting a headache with this. Ok, I will get rid of the promotion for the free shipping over $25. I thought that would be nice to offer.
Let me work on the flat rate shipping fee.

Yes, I think that you have it set up correctly now. I added one item to the cart, showed $2.99 shipping. Added more items to the cart and it remained at $2.99 shipping until I had just a bit over $25.00 worth of items and it went to free shipping.
I had a difficult time setting up this same type of flat rate shipping, too. I hope that your headache has subsided

Thank you McDougall for giving me the good news! I tried so many ways to correct that I don't know how I got it right.
Many thanks to everyone that helped me!

Yep. Looks like OP got it working now though. Two items added to cart, and a total of $2.99 shipping is showing. Remove the item that shows $2.99 shipping and the other one that shows Free shipping then has $2.99 shipping as expected.
Looks like this one may be solved.

@purplebirdiecharm-crystalsrock
Your shipping costs look to be set up as you wanted however, your US shipping charges and promotions are the same to ALL of the countries that you ship to. Is that what you want?

You are most welcome. Now that you did it you can see it isn't that hard - set up the listings for normal shipping, and handle the combined orders with the global combined shipping rules.

Yes, but for the prices you are selling you charm baubles for you can't afford to subsidize and pay out of pocket $6-10 or more shipping shortfall per international order.
First Class Package International for 1-8oz: $9.98 to Canada, $13.54 to Sweden, and maxes out at $13.78 to Chile or India for example.
I think you need to rethink the international shipping. 🙂

Good catch. I focused on domestic shipping and never thought about international.
Glad we have someone in the Great White North looking at things too.
Loved that bit on SCTV. Got the Great White North album, and the Strange Brew movie. As I'm half Canadian, and used to consume mass quantities of Molson and Players (so more than half Canadian by body weight) I get to poke fun 🙂
