Sending offers

Any seller have an insight on this...I send offers all the time but the list of eligible items

is basically always the same. I have approx 1400 active listings in my ebay story

but the same 75 or so items are always shown in my send offers list. Not the rest

which if it comes down to views-the other items have views. Frustrating.

I sent offers also, some accept and most don’t. You are very specialized with expensive vintage clothing and accessories. Also not sure who your customer is, as how many people purchase vintage clothing?

For me, the offers are usually my most popular items. I am not much help. Best wishes.

It comes down to which of your items have watchers.  Items that just have views, not so much.  One watcher will generate a send offer.  It takes a lot of views in a short amount of time to generate a send offer just based on views.

I think it comes down to the watchers and if there is a watcher on the item I believe the system lets you send an offer. In addition, I believe some offers can be sent to non-watchers if they clicked your item but then moved on and did not formally watch your item.

I saw a post recently from someone who was annoyed with the offers because they were not watching the item but merely clicked and viewed and moved on. They did not understand why they were getting offers as they were not interested in item. So I figure the system will let you send these offers out to non-watchers but personally I don't think these people have much interest.

To me that means that buyers are most interested in those same 75 or so items.  Either they may want it eventually or they are just curious to see if it will sell or they are watching because they want to list a similar item.  Some buyers do not want to get any offers so they may watch but the seller will not know.  Sales are tough right now.  Hang in there.

Offers are generally sent to people watching, not people viewing.

Most people are not happy to be spammed with unsolicited marketing emails, which is what sending an offer essentially is.

And even if you have a watcher, the system will not allow you to send an offer if the watcher has (a) already received an offer from you for that item, (b) has received too many other offers recently, or (c) has opted out of offers altogether.
