As a buyer something very interesting happened to me the other day and I can't figure out how the seller was able to do this (it was a good thing). If someone can shed light on this for me for future use I'd appreciate it.
Person was selling lavender stems 250 for $12.50. I had a couple of questions for her and in the interim said I'd need 4 bunches. She responded that she has a special 5 bunches for $55. plus a combined shipping discount.
Great. I decided to take advantage of the 5 bunch special and her combined shipping discount was a good deal as well.
So ... selected 5 qty and she must have had immediate pay required as nowhere did it give me the option to request a revised invoice from seller. Meassaged her and asked her how to proceed.
Then she apologized and said she would have to send me "an offer". After that I got a message from her with "an offer" showing 5 for $55 and when I went to pay it reflected the discounted combined shipping.
How and where can you send a buyer "an offer"? I am completely unfamiliar with this. Anyone have any idea how to go about doing this and where?
Thank you and keep warm!

It's been discussed a number of times on these boards and I've received quite a few that way. A search of the help pages using 'send offer' finds this: http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/private_offer.html
.

OK kids, time to get the Dodge loaded up again. I hear 'Poppy's By the Tree' calling. This trip might be a long one too.

If someone asks a question through eBay messages there is an option to send a offer in the reply
Prov 20:14 It is naught, it is naught, saith the buyer: but when he is gone his way, then he boasteth.
