Re: Selling restrictions question

That makes more sense. Unlike what the message says about listing up to 175 items …including sold items.

Re: Selling restrictions question

This means if i sell 100 listings, I could still only have 75 listed until next month? When it says up to 175, I also thought it meant that was the listed limit, but its listed + sold limit.

Re: Selling restrictions question

Glad I could help explain it, but sorry it's not better news.

I saw one seller get socked with a huge listing decrease and they had hundreds and hundreds of listings ended for being over their limits. The hardest is when a large seller of multi-quantity listings gets hit. Because they're over their limits they can't edit listings to reduce the quantity they make available because they're still over their limits. So eBay will force listings with good selling history to end until the seller is within their limits. Only then can the seller decrease quantity on remaining listings then relist some of the ended listings, which have now lost their sales history and great search placement. Seller's best option in that scenario is to choose sacrificial lambs and end listings themselves so at least they have some choice over which listings are ended.

Happens any time a seller has X listed then eBay lowers their limits below X. Listings over the limit will stay active until their renewal date, then eBay will end them if they don't sell before then.

Re: Selling restrictions question

My best advice here @grymauch is to choose which listings you want to end - the items you believe will be least likely to sell. Your listing limits page will tell you how many items you have to end for being over the limits. Better than letting eBay auto-end based on renewal date.

Anything eBay auto-ended can be found on your ended listings page.

You might even choose to proactively end more than you have to so you can list new product that you think has a better shot of selling. After all, the more sales, the more opportunity to climb out of Below Standard. Good luck.

Re: Selling restrictions question

Looks like an issue with the dollar amount. Are you anywhere near the $7,600.00 limit? If the answer is no and if the error doesn't go away within 24 hours I'd contact customer service to see what's up. Sorting your listings priced high to low it looks like you could easily be over the $$ limit.

Re: Selling restrictions question

Yea looks like it. I use the app and rarely use the classic site. Specifics dont show up on the app. Thanks

Re: Selling restrictions question

The app is not good for stuff like this. The app is more for casual selling. I suggest logging in to the website which you can do from a browser on your phone if you don't have a computer. Then you'll have better visibility to your active and sold $$ totals, especially if you go through Seller Hub.

The image shows that you have $0 left of your $7600 limit, so decreasing the number of listings isn't going to make any difference unless the value of the ended listings brings you below that $7600 threshold.
