Selling on Facebook

I linked my eBay account to Facebook. I posted several items on Facebook.

When I find the item on Facebook I click on the item but it will take me to eBay to make the purchase.

That's how it's supposed to work. You can advertise eBay items on FB, but the sales transaction will go through eBay.

What sort of page on Facebook are you sending these?  i.e. your personal page, a business page, etc?

Why would you want to do that? eBay's job is to have a properly functioning site and buyers who come to that site and are able to find and purchase what you are selling. For that, eBay takes a commission.

If I have stuff that people want to buy, but they are finding it on some other site, seems dumb to give eBay a commission.

You are correct.  But when I click on the item on FB nothing happens.

Compare the FB link to the actual address of your item on eBay. There is probably a mismatch. It's easy to lose a character or add a character when linking. All it takes is one errant letter to disable a link.

I have my eBay account linked to my Facebook account.  I post an item on eBay to Facebook.  I am on my Facebook page and see the item.  I can click on the item to take me back to eBay, but nothing happens.  I had a friend go on my Facebook page and She could not click on the item to go to eBay and make a purchase.
