How does one go about getting a selling limit increase? I have never been allowed to sell anything and am limited to zero items for zero dollars per month. I have tried to contact customer support but so far it has not been of any help in this.

Yes.

That is what I was thinking while reading thru this thread. Does not sound like the OP is signed up for managed payments or selling period.
Or the buying account is somehow linked to a previously suspended selling account.
Never heard of a selling account with zero items for zero dollars.

I put the links for them to resubmit their checking account and attach a card for fees.
You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink.

Roger that. OP has not confirmed to be signed up for managed payments or responded to your post.

99% of the time they never do.

The strangest thing about this new seller limit is it is apparently not consistent at all.
Ii read on the mentor boards the other day a new seller listed and sold a 10k item and is in the process of maybe being scammed, so how does this happen in the first place if eBay is so tough with thier ''limits'' or was the FVF on 10k a good enough hook so they let it ride?

The new seller limits do seem to be all over the board.

I must be doing something wrong but can not figure out what. I am set up to sell with a bank account linked and verified as well as a credit card for ebay payments and fees. I had a separate personal account linked to a different email but never had any issues or negative experiences with any buyers. At first I assumed a month to feel out the site would sound reasonable but it has been over half a year and nothing is changing. Ebay customer support has been less useful than last weeks fart.

I did that. Nothing changed.

Try contacting eBay on social media. There has to be an issue with your account or verification or something, no way you would still be waiting after 6 months.

Just read this > I had a separate personal account linked to a different email but never had any issues or negative experiences with any buyers.
Are you absolutey certain you had no issues, no item not receivee cases or not as described where eBay had to step in and refund, any cancellations or late shipments, could not provide tracking?
I sounds to me like your other account may have been suspended and now attempting to sell on a new account is causing these issues. You can't circumvent a suspension by opening a new account.

@inhawaii wrote:I noticed a lot of new sellers lately always asking/inquiring about a limit increase.
In 22 years I have never, ever, had to ask ebay for a limit increase. Not once.
It is likely because us with older accounts that have been active sellers a good portion of that time likely have selling limits set that we would never reach. I personally have never known what mine is. I did ask once and the CSR told me mine was set so high it is extremely unlikely that I'd ever reach it.

@dinrailed wrote:I have tried all of the above. I have tried requesting an increase like user @mam98031 suggested multiple times over the last 5-6 months. The limit remains at zero. How am I supposed to improve my selling reputation if I am not allowed to sell?
You are too new to selling. You need to first start selling and get some transactions recorded. You haven't even completed your first 30 days as a seller, so like I said in my first post to you. A seller can request an increase every 30 days. It would be a great idea to get selling first.

@dinrailed wrote:That is likely due to the selling limit idea being a relatively new idea. You were simply already here and were "grandfathered" in.
Not sure what you mean by "relatively new", it has been around for a lot of years.

Do you have your account set up for selling? If your account was set up as a buyer, you can't yet sell. Sellers have different informational requirements.
Please review the below link carefully. It contains very important information as to how Ebay needs to see the information you provide them on your account. It is likely easier to change your Ebay account to match your bank account if you find there to be a difference.
