2024 has started off extremely slow in fact so slow im not sure ebay will be in buisness before long its absurd.

Agreed.
It is also a very good idea to sell on multiple sites, as many as you can and still keep your inventory straight.
I added a new site last year and since it picks up my eBay listings, with no effort I get about 10% of my sales there, with less haggling.

My views are down but my conversion is up - it has evened out.

Well if you make a $1 per item, it wouldn't amount to much ...

The pendulum always corrects itself. I have been self employed since the mid sixties. Booms and busts are a natural occurrence in a free market society (OK in all fairness, a quasi-free market). Older members will no doubt remember the Carter administration and the almost immediate boom that followed him being replaced.
The sun'll come out tomorrow.

Why would ebay go out of business because people aren't buying your stuff?

They will still be in business, The real question is how many of us will remain in business here?

Same here.
And, my per-sale $ amount has gone up over 10%.
My Impressions and Page Views are down, Click Thru and Conversion are up.
Result is ... I am working less, and making more.
About a year ago I raised prices and I raised shipping $1 to $5.95 about a month ago.
On a side note ... you see the news this morning about the stock markets of the world?
This will have a huge effect on business, ALL business. Even ours.
They been lying to us in regards to the unemployment numbers (of course).

There's so many seller's selling returns as new, refurbished and used items as new. Not to mention broken and defective items sold as new. So many Cds and dvds that are homemade copies being sold as new authentic items, bait and switch, etc. eBay is cutting the buyer protection returns way down or banning buyers for too many returns. eBay just expects a buyer to keep crap now. I'm sure there's lot's of bad buyers scamming too. All in all, all the scamming has hurt eBay for the honest buyers and sellers in having a positive experience shopping here.

I have the perspective that it's worse other places (talking about you, Amazon, terrible sales compared to ebay on almost the same number of Fixed Price listings). If I don't count auction sales, I am still selling a lot more than on Amazon. In order to do this I have to work harder than I promised myself I would. It's relentless keeping sales going.

My sales are also way down!
