Buying a Store Subscription Does not Increase Selling Limits. But, you get 250 free insertion credits but can only list ten. When eBay Customer Support was contacted they balked and said that Store Subscriptions do not increase selling limits. Then, can someone please explain to me the value of having or purchasing as store subscription if I cannot use all the free insertion credits?

Thank you. 09:13:59 UTC ; Christina Is there anything else I can help with? 09:14:06 UTC ; theonemiyagii Because each month that 250 resets and I should be able to continue to list. If there are restrictions to how much I can sell that needs to be fuilly disclosed on the store subscription page so people know exactly what they are getting into 09:15:16 UTC ; theonemiyagii So, I guess as far as you have done so far. There isn’t anything else you can help me with at this time.. There is no value until such time as your limits make a "store" a good idea.
AS you have found out, a store subscription does not circumvent the limits.

Selling limits don't last forever......as you have successful sales with no problems you can get the limits increased......so at some point store subscriptions do make economic sense......
For some reason that wall of text wasn't visible when I wrote my answer....... so the answer only pertains to
Then, can someone please explain to me the value of having or purchasing as store subscription if I cannot use all the free insertion credits?

You need to bone up on eBay policy. This is very important if you are serious about making a go here. Below is the policy regarding selling limits.
https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/listings/selling-limits?id=4107
eBay places limits on new and returning sellers. It looks like you have been away from selling for awhile. When that happens, eBay may treat you as a new seller. So you are only allowed so many listings at one time. You cannot artificially raise these limits by opening a store, or opening a second account. There is only one way to get them raised—successful transactions, and no policy violations recorded on your account.
So choose your items wisely to maximize your ability to sell what you have listed. You will find your limits increased quickly the more you sell. Note: if you end a listing prematurely, you lose that listing until the next 30 day period. It cannot be replaced by an additional item. Selling an item will also not be able to be replaced until the next 30 day selling period begins.
I urge you to use this probationary period to bring yourself up to par with the rules that govern the platform. Pay special heed to the Money Back Guarantee policy and the eBay User Agreement.
You cannot succeed here without a strong foundation on policy matters. Below are links to these. Good luck and wish you much good selling.
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/member-behaviour-policies/user-agreement?id=4259
Also be aware, you may be subject to payout holds as well. Up to 30 days.

Until you've been selling for 90 days and sold 25 items your payments will be held until tracking shows delivered, or in 30 days if there's no tracking. They can hold the payment for the full 30 days if you're selling in a high risk category.
In addition, Stores are meant for sellers who have slow selling items. They can be left in a Store cheaply (though not Free since even a Basic Store subscription costs ~$25 a month for 1000 listings) for years if necessary.
A non-Store seller has only 250 Free Listings. It is only worth while to open a Basic Store if you have at least 300 listings.
01-26-2025 11:01 PM
When a seller desires to increase their selling limits, they are allowed to request an increase once every 30 days. Mark your calendar and every 30 days request an increase until you have your selling limit well above anything you think you will ever need. Below is a link to where you can go to ask for a selling limit increase. It is the third option in the link below.

a honest business would not let a customer purchase services that the customer can not use but ebay will take every cent that they possibly can.

That would make ebay a dishonest business.
Why are you doing business with them by selling here?

Are you talking about Ebay allowing sellers to subscribe to a Store?? If you are, why should Ebay prevent someone from having a store if they want one? How does this put Ebay in the wrong? Did Ebay reach out and ask the seller why they wanted a store? There are many reasons to have a store.
So Ebay is suppose to make the decision for the seller IF they should have a store or what level of store????
