I have recently listed and am trying to sell an expensive watch. I am only used to selling items under $100.
Is there anything I should look out for? I plan on only sending it to a buyer with a reasonable amount of feedback as well make sure they've had an account for a while.
Also I'll be buying the extra insurance. Does anybody know how much it costs to insure a $2500 item with USPS?

Don't list it. You are scammer chum with that low number of feedback.
You can look on the USPS site and check insurance rates.
Again, don't list it. I've been here forever with feedback in 5 digits and I wouldn't list that here.

Just looked again. You haven't specified a payment due time and if that is because you are planning to vet a buyer during that time, remember that all buyers have 100% positive feedback.
Also, the "not eligible for purchase protection" is in tiny letters in the listing. I have no idea if that is because of the type of item or cost or if it's the glitch someone else was talking about earlier today.

It needs to ship overnight express signature required and insurance if you're planning on trying to take steps not to lose it...

New or low feedback sellers here selling high end Items are always targets for scammers. Even listed as a Buy it now ( BIN ) with Immediate payment required has it's drawbacks, ( Buyer pays, Opens Item not as described case, You send return shipping label, Buyer sends you his Timex ) As stated already, You are risking it all listing this Item, But Know you are in charge, This can be done (Sold) but you just need to understand the risks involved. I have seen you on these answer boards, So I know you have seen a few of the scams here. Good Luck to you.

I think the best course of action would be to follow the sage advice of his majesty King Arthur...
And failing that, if you are going to do this, at least give the proper invocation before taking the plunge...

This "Item not covered......" is an eBay glitch, I'm having same problem on my Glassware listings. This problem has been reported. Good Luck to you.

Oh my. <fainting>
BTW, do you have a link to eBay's duplicate listing tool?

Unless you are listing as an auction and plan on baby sitting the listing, there is no way you can prevent an un·scru·pu·lous person from winning. Some snipe last minute when there is no time to react.
And once won, you either sell or risk a defect.
If you are not sure how to sell an expensive item, then you are not ready to, yet. Keep selling what you know until you get more experience.

If I were you, I wouldn't list such an expensive item. So many things can happen to you. There have been scams by buyers claiming item doesn't work and they send back an empty box to the seller.
You assume all risks involved. No one can tell you what to do, the choice is yours.

Then you should be be prepared for either a defect or negative feedback.

if you can afford to give the watch away for free, and pay postage both ways, go ahead and list it.
if you can NOT afford to give the watch away for free, and pay postage both ways, do not list it.

Very hazy pics. Think you should improve them.
First thing I do with an expensive sale is google their address and make sure it lines up with money for luxury items.

As others have said - your feedback is too low and attracts scammers - I'm sorry but you're going to ned up back on these boards in a week or so asking whying Paypal refunded the payment and let the buyer keep the item. I wouldn't even list the Rolex sunglasses - way too expensive for someone with so little feedback.
And the Rolex wallet you sold - did you purchase it from a reputable dealer yourself as it doesn't look authentic. The embossed Rolex name inside is sloppy, the crown is sloppy and not distinct - just saying - I wouldn't be surprised if a case is opened.

I was just going to say something about your pictures on that watch too. They are very poor. The "haze" is really bad and odd too. You need to get your lighting right (either photo box or natural lighting) and use your macro/flower settings for more detailed pics.
I can't see the crystal on that watch and/or wear elsewhere.
Poor pictures can really contribute to the scam magnet factor. Not that pictures can prove anything to ebay, but bad pictures might make a scammer think you're an easy target for a swap out of their broken, worn out watch. They makes you out to be a novice. If it ever came to it and you had to file criminal charges for a swap-out, your pictures don't show your watch well.
