Yes I am kind of an expert being I'm a powerseller and been on here 21 years.

1-day handling requirement for Top-Rated Seller (TRS) status. eBay clearly states that 1-day handling means that an item sold must be SCANNED by the shipper (e.g. USPS or UPS) within 24 hours upon receiving payment for the item.

Going to the post office or having random people pick stuff up 3-5 days a week does nothing to minimize possible contact with someone that maybe sick. Giving us a week so we only have to make 1 trip would do a lot more to protect us. But as usual sellers are not a priority.

lets not forget what 1 day handling is and is not

if you are paid for an item you have 1 buisness day to get it in the mailstream

if you are paid on friday the item does not have to be shipped till monday.any item paid for on friday saturday or sunday, all ship on monday,that is 1 day handling  ,not to be confused with 24 hour handling which is needed during the week

pay for an item on monday and it ships the next day..there is no 24 hour requirement for 1 day handling  shipping on items paid for on a friday or saturday,it is a myth pepetuated by sellers who do not understand what 1 day handling is

Just to be clear, one day handling is NOT a requirement for TRS status.

It is a requirement for TRS Plus listings. If you go to two day (or longer) handling, you can retain your TRS status. However, any listing with the longer handling duration loses the benefits of TRS Plus status, including reduced ebay postage costs and a small FVF discount.

So, there's a trade-off. You will NOT lose your TRS status. You will lose the perks that come with TRS Plus status, but will regain them as soon as you go back to using one day handling (after this is over, which obviously can't come too soon for any of us)
